Human Resources Officer

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will provide essential HR support to the HR Business Partner, handling a wide range of activities that ensure smooth HR operations across the organisation. This role combines recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, HRIS management and training coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment and selection processes in line with equal employment and company policies.
• Support employee onboarding and manage the employee wellness day.
• Advise on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with company policy and labour legislation.
• Draft minutes during disciplinary interventions and manage absenteeism.
• Support the employee benefits programme and manage the company bursary program.
• Prepare employee communication slides for TV and HR drives.
• Upload and maintain data on HRIS tools and generate HR reports.
• Manage the company bursary and graduate programmes, including engagement with tertiary institutions.
• Conduct exit interviews and participate in audits.
• Champion automation and AI‑enabled improvements across HR workflows.
• Assist with the planning and execution of company functions.

Required profile

• Diploma in Human Resource Management.
• At least 5 years of experience as an HR Officer with exposure to resourcing, skills development, time management and labour relations.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with an HRIS system.
• Strong communication, relationship‑building, decision‑making and organisational abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Affirmative‑action or equal‑employment candidates preferred.
