M-Pesa Specialist – E-Money Services (Treasury)

About the role

The M-Pesa Specialist will oversee accounting, reconciliation and reporting for peer‑to‑peer (P2P) transactions, travel & expense (T&E) and accounts payable within the Treasury function. The role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with payment controls and supports month‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile P2P transactions and operational balances.
• Review and process employee expense claims.
• Manage vendor payments and perform AP reconciliations.
• Ensure adherence to payment approval controls.
• Support month‑end close and prepare accounting schedules.
• Monitor aged payables, outstanding balances and overdue vendor payments.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, expense processing and reconciliation.
• Ability to work with financial data and produce accurate reports.

Required skills

• ERP knowledge (preferred).
