About the role

The M-Pesa Specialist will oversee accounting, reconciliation and reporting for peer‑to‑peer (P2P) transactions, travel & expense (T&E) and accounts payable within the Treasury function. The role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with payment controls and supports month‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

Reconcile P2P transactions and operational balances.
Review and process employee expense claims.
Manage vendor payments and perform AP reconciliations.
Ensure adherence to payment approval controls.
Support month‑end close and prepare accounting schedules.
Monitor aged payables, outstanding balances and overdue vendor payments.

Required profile

Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, expense processing and reconciliation.
Ability to work with financial data and produce accurate reports.

Required skills

ERP knowledge (preferred).
