M-Pesa Specialist – E-Money Services (Treasury)

About the role
The M-Pesa Specialist will oversee accounting, reconciliation and reporting for peer‑to‑peer (P2P) transactions, travel & expense (T&E) and accounts payable within the Treasury function. The role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with payment controls and supports month‑end close activities.
Key responsibilities
- Reconcile P2P transactions and operational balances.
- Review and process employee expense claims.
- Manage vendor payments and perform AP reconciliations.
- Ensure adherence to payment approval controls.
- Support month‑end close and prepare accounting schedules.
- Monitor aged payables, outstanding balances and overdue vendor payments.
Required profile
- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, expense processing and reconciliation.
- Ability to work with financial data and produce accurate reports.
Required skills
- ERP knowledge (preferred).
