National Cash Working Coordinator – Programmatic Co‑Chair (DRC)

About the role

Mercy Corps is seeking a National Cash Working Coordinator to serve as Programmatic Co‑Chair of the Cash Working Group (CWG‑n) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The role will lead strategic coordination of cash transfer programming across the country, ensuring alignment with humanitarian standards and the broader Inter‑Cluster Network.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for national cash and voucher assistance (CVA) programmes.
• Oversee sub‑national Cash Working Groups and facilitate their integration into the humanitarian programming cycle.
• Represent Mercy Corps in the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) and Inter‑Cluster Network (ICN) discussions.
• Develop and promote a coordinated, multi‑purpose cash assistance approach that aligns with sectoral and multi‑sectoral priorities.
• Strengthen links between operational field activities and strategic planning at the national level.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in cash transfer programming and humanitarian coordination.
• Strong knowledge of the DRC humanitarian context and multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑agency groups and foster collaborative decision‑making.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with NGOs, government, and donors.
