Administrative & Finance Officer – Ebola Response (6‑month contract)

About the role

The Administrative & Finance Officer will support UNICEF’s emergency Ebola response in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Working under the supervision of the Operations Specialist, the incumbent will ensure that administrative and financial services are delivered efficiently, on time, and in compliance with UNICEF policies throughout the six‑month assignment.

Key responsibilities

• Apply UNICEF administrative and financial policies, including Simplified Emergency Procedures, to support operations in Bunia, Butembo and other affected locations.
• Coordinate essential office and field support services such as travel, transport, asset management, local procurement, vendor follow‑up, and office supplies.
• Manage office equipment, vehicles, and premises, including inventory updates, maintenance follow‑up, and proper asset use.
• Assist in the preparation, monitoring and follow‑up of service contracts and procurement actions.
• Provide timely reporting and documentation to ensure compliance with internal controls.

Required profile

• Experience in administrative and financial support within humanitarian or emergency contexts.
• Familiarity with UNICEF’s administrative and financial procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and adapt to rapidly changing field conditions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
