Associate Engineer – Prefab & MSU Installation Technician

About the role

CTG is seeking an Associate Engineer to lead the installation of prefabricated facilities and the erection of Mobile Storage Units (MSUs) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The role supports the Ebola response in Bunia, Beni and other forward hubs, ensuring rapid, safe, and standards‑compliant deployment of temporary logistics infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and develop detailed installation plans for prefabs and MSUs.
• Provide hands‑on engineering guidance on layout preparation, anchoring methods, and erection sequences.
• Supervise installation teams, labourers and service providers, ensuring adherence to safety, quality and timeline requirements.
• Coordinate basic civil works, drainage considerations and access requirements.
• Produce progress reports, snag lists, photographic documentation and handover records.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience working in challenging, insecure environments is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and make quick, safety‑focused decisions.
