Auto-Electrician Specialist – Mining Equipment

About the role

Sandvik Mining and Construction DRC is seeking a skilled Auto‑Electrician Specialist to join its Service team in Lubumbashi. You will ensure the reliability of mining equipment, provide high‑quality technical support, and contribute to continuous improvement in a demanding mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new service opportunities by analysing market trends and customer needs.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, delivering excellent service and encouraging repeat business.
• Network with suppliers and industry partners to create collaborative business opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with Sandvik EHS policies and relevant regulations, reporting unsafe practices.
• Uphold Sandvik values, policies, and procedures while pursuing personal development.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of auto‑electrical systems on underground and surface mining equipment.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Auto‑Electrical) with at least 4 years of experience.
• Experience with mining equipment (underground or surface) preferred.
• Familiarity with Sandvik or other OEM equipment is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of auto‑electrical systems, diagnostics, and the ability to read technical schematics.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and proficiency with troubleshooting and repair tools.
• Customer‑oriented mindset and ability to work independently in demanding site conditions.
