Budget Analyst – NGO Finance

About the role

The Budget Analyst will support comprehensive budgeting and financial management processes at the National Office level of World Vision. This role ensures that support cost, program, and grant budgets align with strategic priorities and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and consolidating support cost, program, and grant budgets.
• Contribute to budget reviews, narratives, and donor reporting.
• Validate and upload budgets into financial systems, overseeing Labor Distribution Reports for accurate staff cost allocation.
• Monitor PBAS commitments, reconcile financial data across systems, and support management reporting.
• Maintain cost allocation methodologies, documentation, and track cost recovery performance and Support Cost Reallocation ratios.

Required profile

• First degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA (advantageous).
• Minimum 3 years of finance experience in an NGO environment.
• Strong ability to perform complex financial analyses and work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Sun Systems accounting software.
• Vision XL and Vision Executive.
• In‑depth knowledge of GAAP and World Vision Financial Policies and Procedures.
• Grant accounting expertise.
• Financial statement preparation and review.
