Construction Project Manager

About the role

Shugulika Africa Limited is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager in Kinshasa to oversee industrial building projects from planning to completion. The role works closely with engineers and architects to develop plans and ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple industrial construction projects from planning to completion, keeping to timelines and budgets
• Collaborate with architects, designers and stakeholders to develop project plans and specifications
• Oversee selection and procurement of materials and equipment
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Prepare detailed reports on project performance and outcomes
• Lead and motivate project teams, including contractors, subcontractors and internal staff
• Coordinate final inspections, documentation and handover to the client
• Develop project plans covering scope, milestones, timelines and budget, and define schedule, cost and quality metrics
• Monitor expenses and manage a diverse team of subcontractors, labourers, engineers and suppliers
• Keep the project head and stakeholders informed of status, costs, challenges and resolutions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 8 to 10 years of experience in construction and project management
• Strong leadership skills to manage the site workforce

Required skills

• Proficiency in studying engineering drawings and implementing them at site
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and best practices
