Contracts Officer – Temporary Appointment (346 days)

About the role

The Contracts Officer will support UNICEF’s Country Office in Kinshasa by providing technical and operational assistance for supply‑chain activities. Reporting to the Contract Specialist, the role ensures that procurement, contracting and monitoring of goods, services and construction works are carried out efficiently to meet programme needs.

Key responsibilities

• Support the management of the Country Office supply chains, including planning, procurement and contracting of goods, services and construction works.
• Monitor the delivery and performance of supplies, services and construction contracts.
• Collaborate with programme teams to define supply interventions that address child‑focused results.
• Provide technical and advisory support to government entities, national systems and partners on supply‑chain management.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with UNICEF policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Experience in supply‑chain management, procurement or contract administration.
• Ability to work closely with programme staff and external partners.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with UNICEF’s operational framework is an advantage.
