Coordinator, Ebola Treatment Center (ETC)

About the role

The ETC Coordinator provides strategic leadership and oversees operations across multiple Ebola Treatment Centers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Reporting to the Medical Director, the role ensures safe, high‑quality patient care while complying with national and international protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations of all ETCs, standardising clinical care, IPC, laboratory, logistics and support services.
• Enter the red zone regularly to supervise staff, mentor teams, verify protocol adherence and drive immediate improvements.
• Supervise Site Coordinators and technical leads, fostering clear roles, teamwork and accountability.
• Lead quality‑improvement initiatives using key performance indicators such as patient outcomes, IPC compliance and bed management.
• Oversee resource management, including budget oversight, procurement planning and stock control in coordination with logistics.
• Coordinate integration of clinical, IPC, laboratory, WASH, nutrition, RCCE and data teams for holistic outbreak response.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director on surge capacity planning and strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in managing health‑care operations during infectious disease outbreaks.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in high‑risk environments.
• Strong analytical skills for performance monitoring and quality improvement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
