About the role
The Duty Manager supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing all front‑office operations at a Hilton hotel. This position ensures smooth daily service, controls costs, and maintains the high standards of guest satisfaction expected from the Hilton brand.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate clear directions to front‑office team members and monitor performance.
- Interview, select, train, supervise, evaluate, and discipline front‑office staff.
- Manage lobby traffic, assign duties, and oversee VIP and group reservations.
- Update inventory, handle special reservation requests, and adjust room rates as needed.
- Prepare daily payroll, schedules, and forecasts of arrivals and departures.
- Resolve guest concerns, implement solutions, and maintain service quality.
- Assume full hotel responsibility in the absence of the Assistant or Front Office Manager, including night‑shift duties.
- Lead training sessions, on‑the‑job coaching, and mentor team members.
Required profile
- Proven experience in front‑office or hotel operations management.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Ability to handle VIP guests and high‑volume lobby environments.
- Excellent judgment for decision‑making and problem‑resolution.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts.
