Engineering Managerial Leader II – Mining Operations

About the role

We are seeking a senior engineering leader to drive the engineering function across the Kamoa Copper Mine sites. The role will translate engineering strategy into safe, reliable and cost-effective operations while supporting capital projects and asset integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Engineering division for all assigned sites.
• Design and embed effective engineering governance, structures and plans.
• Oversee capital project delivery and engineering execution.
• Maintain asset management and maintenance excellence to ensure business continuity.
• Act as subject-matter expert, driving problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Manage stakeholder relationships to optimise the value chain.
• Forecast and secure the engineering budget in line with the Delegation of Authority Matrix.
• Support transformation initiatives including automation, digitisation and sustainability.
• Promote HSEQ culture and manage reporting and governance for the area of responsibility.

Required profile

• National Diploma (N6) or equivalent in Engineering; Bachelor of Science in Engineering (preferred) and MBA/MBL (preferred).
• Professional engineering certificate such as GCC.
• Minimum 10 years senior management experience in mining or related works environment.
• Experience in underground mining is advantageous.
• Fluent business English; French and Swahili are a plus.
• Knowledge of DRC and international mining legislation and socio-political context.
