Engineering Planner

About the role

The Engineering Planner will work under the Planning Superintendent to ensure timely maintenance of all mine facilities and equipment. This position focuses on maximizing equipment reliability through effective maintenance planning and coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Define the full scope of maintenance work for electrical installations, including repair, prevention and prediction activities.
• Record all planned and unplanned maintenance activities in the AMT system.
• Develop standard cost and time estimates for maintenance tasks.
• Analyse variances between actual performance and estimates to improve future work orders.
• Manage the work‑order backlog, adjusting priorities based on age and urgency.
• Run daily AMT reports to identify orders needing additional planning or resources.
• Coordinate with section supervisors to ensure accurate AMT entries.
• Plan and schedule major and minor stoppages, analysing deviations and reporting findings.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, technical sciences or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a maintenance planning environment; mining experience preferred.
• Proven leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Strong time‑management and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent English with excellent intercultural communication.

Required skills

• MS Office suite – Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Visio.
• AMT transaction handling.
• Understanding of ERP interfaces (MUMI parts/materials) with AMT.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning processes for fixed installations or mobile fleets.
