Field Operations Officer – CCCM (P2) – Bunia, DRC

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Field Operations Officer (CCCM) at the P2 level to support camp coordination and management activities in Bunia, Democratic Republic of Congo. The role is critical to the humanitarian response in North Kivu, Ituri and Tanganyika provinces, where large displaced populations require safe and organized settlements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the CCCM Cluster co‑led by IOM and UNHCR in planning, implementing and monitoring camp operations.
• Coordinate with shelter, WASH and DTM programmes to ensure integrated service delivery.
• Conduct field assessments, monitor camp conditions and report on security and protection issues.
• Liaise with government authorities, NGOs and other UN agencies to facilitate resource mobilization and joint actions.
• Prepare operational reports, data updates and contribute to strategic planning for camp management.

Required profile

• Professional staff grade P2 with experience in humanitarian camp coordination or management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the DRC humanitarian context and displacement dynamics.
• Ability to work in insecure environments and adapt to rapidly changing situations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with fluency in English (additional languages a plus).
