Immunization Study Manager for RECO Pilot

About the role

The Manager of the RECO Immunization Study will lead a small‑scale pilot in Lomami province, DRC, testing community health workers as vaccinators. This senior position oversees all phases from protocol development to data analysis and dissemination, ensuring alignment with budget, timeline, and donor expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage every stage of the pilot, from stakeholder engagement and ethical approvals to training, data collection, quality assurance, analysis, and reporting.
• Supervise two Lomami‑based staff members, providing mentorship, routine check‑ins, and on‑site supervision to guarantee high‑quality implementation.
• Coordinate with VillageReach’s Global Technical Team, Research, Evidence & Learning teams, and national Ministry of Health officials, serving as the primary operational liaison.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date workplan and budget, track timelines and expenditures, and report progress to project leadership and donors.
• Integrate gender considerations throughout protocol design, tool development, and field supervision.
• Support dissemination by presenting findings to government, partners, and community stakeholders and contributing to grant reports, publications, and conference abstracts.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in managing research projects, preferably in public health or immunization contexts.
• Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including ministries of health, NGOs, and community groups.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative research expertise, including protocol development and IRB submission.
• Demonstrated project management skills with a track record of delivering results on time and within budget.
