Junior Mechanical Technician (Rotating Shift)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Technician to join our plant’s maintenance team on a rotating shift basis. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of critical industrial equipment, supporting continuous plant operations in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems such as conveyors, crushers, gearboxes, pumps, fans, compressors, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic circuits.
• Diagnose mechanical failures using precision measurement and testing tools, conduct root‑cause analysis, and execute corrective actions.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes to minimise unplanned downtime.
• Support equipment installation, modification, and improvement projects alongside senior engineers.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams and manuals; propose design improvements when needed.
• Apply lockout/tagout (LOTO) and energy‑control procedures before and during maintenance work.
• Complete service reports, maintenance records and other technical documentation accurately and on time.

Required profile

• Technical secondary education or equivalent in mechanical engineering or industrial maintenance.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong attention to safety, HSE regulations and plant procedures.
