Optimization Engineer

About the role

Helios Towers is seeking an Optimization Engineer to join its Smart Operating Centre (SOC). The role focuses on Level‑3 performance engineering, deep troubleshooting, structural optimisation, anomaly‑detection stewardship and automation of recurring operational workflows for telecom power assets.

Key responsibilities

• Own high‑complexity incidents escalated from L2, diagnose multi‑variable root causes and define remediation paths.
• Analyse telemetry and historical performance data from batteries, gensets, solar systems, rectifiers and related power assets to identify configuration gaps and optimisation opportunities.
• Recommend and validate power‑asset configuration improvements through structured before‑and‑after analysis.
• Maintain and improve ICCP anomaly‑detection logic, tuning thresholds and reducing false positives.
• Identify recurring operational patterns and convert them into automated ICCP and WFM workflows.
• Collaborate with SOC System Support to implement, test and stabilise automation changes across ICCP and WFM platforms.
• Lead structured root‑cause analysis for recurring incidents and translate outcomes into configuration fixes, automation rules or CAPEX proposals.
• Partner with Q Ranger and Engineering teams to close chronic fault loops while limiting escalations to structural design or CAPEX requirements.
• Raise high‑quality WFM work orders from analysis findings and validate post‑execution outcomes.
