Project Manager – IV Fluids Manufacturing Facility

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the end‑to‑end development of a state‑of‑the‑art IV Fluids manufacturing plant in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This greenfield project covers planning, construction, commissioning, validation and handover to operations, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the overall project plan, timelines, milestones and budget.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, consultants and government authorities.
• Oversee civil works, utilities, equipment installation and site development.
• Manage FAT, SAT, commissioning, qualification and validation activities.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, WHO, ISO and local regulations.
• Control project budgets, procurement, cash flow and vendor payments.
• Prepare regular progress reports for senior management.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, Ministry of Health, customs and other agencies for licensing and permits.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and support recruitment and training for plant start‑up.
• Promote strict health, safety and environmental standards throughout the project.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PMP or equivalent project‑management certification preferred.
• Proven experience leading large, multidisciplinary construction projects in the pharmaceutical sector.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GMP, WHO and ISO standards and pharmaceutical validation.
• Familiarity with WFI systems, RO water systems, HVAC, clean utilities and pharmaceutical infrastructure.
