Project Officer – Partnerships for Forests (DRC)

About the role

The Project Officer will join Palladium’s Central Project Management team supporting the Partnerships for Forests (P4F) programme in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role focuses on identifying, developing and managing investable projects and partnerships that promote sustainable land‑use and forest management, while ensuring effective implementation and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess high‑potential forest partnership business models aligned with P4F strategy.
• Support business plan development, capacity building for investees and preparation of investment pitches and concept notes.
• Conduct financial and technical analysis of value chains and business models.
• Track project milestones, coordinate with donors, partners and beneficiaries, and conduct monitoring visits to project sites.
• Assist with monitoring, evaluation, learning, communications and cross‑cutting workstreams.
• Manage programme payments, procurement, contracting processes, budget tracking and financial reporting in liaison with Palladium corporate functions.

Required profile

• Fluency in French and English.
• Experience in project origination, management or implementation within sustainable land‑use, forestry or related development sectors.
• Ability to work collaboratively with public bodies, financial institutions, companies and community organisations.
• Strong analytical mindset for financial and technical assessments.
