Quality Assurance Manager

About the role

The Quality Assurance Manager will ensure the consistent quality of aviation product design, production, and maintenance. Working closely with the current QA Manager, the successful candidate will take full ownership of the role by August 2027, acting as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the Quality Management System (QMS) manual to guarantee an effective quality framework.
• Conduct internal and external audits, including AS9100 and Civil Aviation Authority audits, and follow up on non‑conformities.
• Manage EASA certification processes for Part 21J, 21G, 21O and Part 145 approvals.
• Perform FAA delegated inspections and certify product releases as required by customers.
• Investigate customer complaints, provide quality data to stakeholders, and report on findings and risks.
• Oversee the recall, calibration, and repair system for instruments, aiming to reduce downtime.
• Lead and develop the quality team through performance management and personal development.
• Identify and implement value‑adding opportunities for the site.

Required profile

• BSc or BTech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a quality certification.
• 5+ years of experience in design, manufacturing, or maintenance within aviation.
• Strong decision‑making, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to produce factual, data‑driven reports for internal and external audiences.
