Senior Industrial Engineer

About the role

WSP is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to act as the technical authority for its Energy business. The role provides strategic leadership and governance to optimise project delivery, operational performance and business efficiency across complex, high‑value programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and oversee optimisation, performance and delivery improvement strategies for large‑scale energy projects.
• Provide expert review and assurance of planning, controls and performance frameworks.
• Lead high‑impact improvement initiatives and transformation programmes.
• Support international project delivery and cross‑regional collaboration.
• Advise senior stakeholders and clients on efficiency, productivity and delivery strategy.
• Contribute to work‑winning, proposals and strategic business initiatives.
• Mentor senior engineers and develop capability within the discipline.
• Ensure alignment with WSP delivery excellence, safety and quality frameworks.

Required profile

• BEng/BSc in Industrial Engineering (BTech with strong experience acceptable).
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in industrial engineering, project controls or operational optimisation.
• Proven track record leading optimisation or performance improvement initiatives.
• Professional registration with ECSA.
• Strong technical and analytical leadership capability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to lead and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
