Senior Superintendent II – Hydrogeology

About the role

The Senior Superintendent II – Hydrogeology provides strategic leadership and technical oversight for hydrogeological activities across multiple underground mining operations at Kamoa Copper Mine. You will integrate groundwater management, dewatering, and risk mitigation into long‑term mine planning to ensure safe and uninterrupted production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and govern hydrogeology programs, groundwater management systems, and dewatering strategies for several underground sites.
• Develop and maintain predictive models, regional aquifer studies, and strategic drilling plans.
• Integrate hydrogeological data into mine planning, operational execution, and infrastructure development.
• Mentor site‑based hydrogeology teams, ensuring consistency, technical governance, and proactive risk management.
• Collaborate with geotechnical, mining, and planning teams to align hydrogeological solutions with operational constraints.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree in Hydrogeology, Groundwater Engineering or related discipline (preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of experience managing multi‑site underground mine hydrogeology teams.
• Proficiency in business English; French and Swahili are advantageous.
