Senior Superintendent – Mine Survey (Underground)

About the role

The Senior Superintendent – Mine Survey leads and optimises all underground surveying activities at Kamoa Copper Mine. You will ensure that spatial data is accurate, timely and aligned with mine designs, production plans and safety requirements in a complex underground environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage survey control networks, production pickups and cavity monitoring programmes.
• Oversee laser scanning, spatial reconciliation and volumetric analysis for excavation compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering, geology and operations teams to align survey data with mine designs and operational plans.
• Lead internal survey teams and external contractors, ensuring quality and safety standards.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports, data governance documentation and SLA performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mine Surveying, Geomatics, Mining Engineering or related field.
• 10‑15 years of underground mine surveying experience, preferably in mechanised, wet mines.
• Proven leadership of survey teams and contractor management.
• Fluent business English; French or Swahili considered a strong advantage.
