Structural BIM Modeler

About the role

WSP is seeking a Structural BIM Modeler to support high‑quality digital design solutions for complex infrastructure and built‑environment projects across Africa. The role combines advanced BIM modelling, multidisciplinary collaboration, and automated design to deliver accurate, coordinated designs for bridges, culverts, highways and other civil structures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the BIM modelling team to meet project deliverables, specifications and quality standards.
• Develop and interpret bridge and civil structural models, including reinforcement detailing and clash detection.
• Create and manage BIM models in Revit, AECOSIM, and other Autodesk/Bentley tools.
• Coordinate with other disciplines using Navisworks, iTwin or similar platforms.
• Implement automated design workflows using Dynamo and related scripts.
• Support health, safety, environmental and quality (SHEQ) initiatives on the project.

Required profile

• Technically strong and detail‑oriented professional with a passion for BIM.
• Self‑motivated learner able to adopt new design technologies quickly.
• Proactive, collaborative team player who can work independently from dispersed locations.
• Resilient under pressure and able to manage workload distribution within the BIM team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Autodesk Suite (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) and Bentley Suite.
• Experience modelling bridge and civil structures, including reinforcement detailing.
• Knowledge of Dynamo for automated design.
• Familiarity with iTwin or similar coordination platforms.
• Strong BIM modelling and clash‑detection capabilities.
