Supply & Logistics Specialist (P-3) – Temporary Appointment

About the role

The Supply & Logistics Specialist will support UNICEF's emergency response to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Reporting to the Chief, Supply and Logistics Manager, the specialist will manage the supply chain for a small country office and ensure essential goods and services reach vulnerable children and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, procure, and contract goods and services required for the response.
• Coordinate customs clearance, warehousing, in‑country transportation and distribution.
• Monitor supplies, services and construction works to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Work closely with programme teams to design and implement supply interventions that meet programmatic needs.
• Provide technical and advisory support to government authorities, national systems and implementing partners on supply chain management.

Required profile

• Experience managing supply chains in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Ability to work in a complex, insecure environment and adapt to evolving operational needs.
• Strong coordination and communication skills to collaborate with programme teams and external partners.
