Teaching Assistant – Primary School (EYFS/KS1/KS2)

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our primary and nursery school from September 2026. The role supports pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, with a focus on inclusive practice within a nurturing Catholic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one, paired or small‑group support for pupils with additional and complex needs, including SEND and EHCP students.
• Assist classroom teachers in delivering lessons, managing behaviour and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
• Support pupils’ emotional regulation, communication and engagement in learning activities.
• Contribute to safeguarding duties and promote the welfare of all children.

Required profile

• Experience working in a primary school setting.
• Background supporting pupils with SEND or high‑needs learners.
• Ability to build nurturing relationships with children and adults.
• Calm, patient, flexible, resilient and a strong team player.
• Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.

• Effective communication and organisational abilities.
