About the role

The Information Management Assistant will support the Head of the Information Management Unit at OCHA’s Goma office, providing technical assistance for the collection, processing and dissemination of humanitarian data, with a focus on cash‑transfer information in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate information‑management activities in line with IASC guidelines.
• Suggest, improve and promote the use of standard products for data collection and processing related to the humanitarian situation.
• Support the flow of information to clusters, thematic groups and the CASH Working Group to facilitate exchange on humanitarian cash transfers.
• Assist in informing the national and provincial response based on cash‑transfer data.

Required profile

• Knowledge of IASC (Inter‑Agency Standing Committee) guidelines.
• Experience in humanitarian information management, particularly cash‑transfer data.
• Ability to work under the direct supervision of the Unit Head.
• Familiarity with the humanitarian context in the DRC at national and provincial levels.
