Associate Field Manager - Lukula, Kongo Central

About the role

GiveDirectly, which transfers mobile money directly to poor households in the Democratic Republic of Congo since 2018, is recruiting an Associate Field Manager in Lukula, Kongo Central. Reporting to the Field Manager, the role manages the day-to-day work of the follow-up team, including planning, performance tracking, coaching and risk improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the daily work of the follow-up team, including task planning and team management
• Monitor and coach field agents and track individual performance
• Help the team achieve its objectives and identify ways to reduce risks and improve processes
• Regularly summarise updates on team performance, successes and challenges on the ground

Required profile

• University degree (licence) or equivalent in a relevant field
• At least 3-5 years of experience as a field officer or enumerator
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and to organise work and priorities
• Good written and spoken French; mastery of Kikongo, Lingala and French; English is an advantage
• Valid driving licence and good driving skills if needed

• Strong one-on-one communication with beneficiaries
• Leadership in a mixed-gender team and ability to escalate complex operational issues clearly
• Independently driven, with strong ethics and teamwork
