Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Congo

About the role

The CFO will lead finance, controlling and administration functions for the country and sub‑region, ensuring compliance with legal frameworks, accounting standards and corporate strategy. This senior position supports decision‑making across the business and drives financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement finance and controlling strategy, policies and procedures for the country and sub‑region.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial modelling.
• Approve investments and ensure accurate IFRS‑compliant financial statements.
• Provide transparent management reporting to the division, executive board and regional CFO.
• Develop and mentor the finance leadership team, establishing performance targets and KPIs.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of financial management experience in an international service environment, with at least 5 years in global express or freight forwarding.
• Post‑graduate qualification in financial management and a professional accountancy qualification.
• Proven experience in strategic financial leadership, investment evaluation and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and corporate tax regulations.
• Experience with customs regulatory environments.
• Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Ability to evaluate investment and acquisition business cases.
