Compliance Officer – Kinshasa, DRC

About the role

Ria Money Transfer is seeking a Compliance Officer to oversee all regulatory and AML/CFT activities for its operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Based in Kinshasa, you will work closely with the Head of Compliance Africa and act as the primary liaison with the Central Bank of Congo and other financial intelligence units.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with local financial regulations and Central Bank of Congo requirements.
• Manage regulatory reporting, including AML/CFT filings, suspicious activity reports, and agent onboarding documentation.
• Monitor transactions using internal systems, investigate high‑risk activities, and submit SARs/STRs to authorities.
• Conduct regular audits of agent locations, verify KYC documentation, and maintain internal control effectiveness.
• Develop and deliver AML/CFT training for employees and agents, and keep the business updated on regulatory changes.
• Prepare internal reports on compliance issues, fraud cases, AML metrics, and audit findings.

Required profile

• Experience in compliance, AML/CFT, and regulatory reporting within the financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of Congolese financial regulations and international compliance standards.
• Ability to interact with regulators and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
