Contracts Officer – Supply Chain Management (Kinshasa)

About the role

The Contracts Officer will support UNICEF’s supply chain operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, ensuring effective planning, procurement, contracting and monitoring of goods, services and construction works. Reporting to the Contract Specialist, the role bridges programme needs with supply chain solutions and provides technical advice to government and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end supply chain process, including planning, procurement, contracting and monitoring of supplies, services and construction works.
• Collaborate with programme teams and implementing partners to define supply interventions that meet programme objectives.
• Provide technical and advisory support to national governments, UN systems and other partners on supply chain management.
• Ensure compliance with UNICEF and UN procurement policies and procedures.
• Track and report on contract performance, delivery timelines and quality of goods/services.

Required profile

• Experience in supply chain, procurement or contract management, preferably within an international or humanitarian context.
• Ability to work closely with programme staff, government officials and external partners.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French is an asset.
