Contracts Officer – Temporary Appointment (346 days)

About the role

The Contracts Officer will support the Country Office in Kinshasa by providing technical and operational assistance for supply chain activities, including planning, procurement, contracting and monitoring of goods, services and construction works.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support for supply chain management.
• Assist in planning, procurement and contracting of goods, services and construction works.
• Monitor delivery and performance of contracts and supplies.
• Collaborate with programme teams to define supply interventions that meet programmatic needs.
• Offer technical advice to government, national systems and partners on supply chain matters.
• Support the Contract Specialist in contract administration and reporting.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in supply chain, procurement or contract management, preferably in humanitarian or development settings.
• Ability to work under supervision of a Contract Specialist and within a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
• Familiarity with UNICEF or UN procurement rules is desirable.
