Country Director – USAID Global Health Supply Chain (DRC)

About the role

Chemonics is seeking a Country Director to lead the USAID Global Health Supply Chain – Technical Assistance Francophone Task Order in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role is based in Kinshasa and reports to the Technical Director of the USAID GHSC‑TA Francophone Task Order.

Key responsibilities

• Directly supervise management‑level staff and oversee Francophone Task Order personnel in the DRC.
• Maintain strong relationships with USAID, the DRC Ministry of Health, local governments, partners, and key stakeholders.
• Implement annual work plans and budgets aligned with USAID, Ministry of Health, and other stakeholder priorities.
• Identify and promote program achievements, best practices, and lessons learned in collaboration with the Communications and Knowledge Management manager.
• Delegate tasks to ensure efficient implementation of a complex portfolio of activities.
• Apply appropriate management methodologies to plan, organize, and control resources.
• Oversee reporting, lead performance reviews, and drive evidence‑based interventions.
• Coordinate capacity‑building assistance for national health supply systems.
• Regularly report results to the Mission, Ministry of Health, funders, and Chemonics Washington.
• Ensure timely submission of all deliverables.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in health, management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum twelve years of experience in public health, preferably with international development and supply‑chain programs.
• Proven experience supervising senior staff and managing multi‑partner projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government agencies, donors, and private‑sector partners.
