Health Specialist – UNICEF DRC (Kananga)

About the role

The Health Specialist will report to the Chief Field Office and support the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of health programmes in Kananga, DRC, focusing on sectors such as gender, maternal, neonatal and child survival.

Key responsibilities

• Support programme development, planning and results‑based management.
• Manage programme delivery, monitoring and reporting of results.
• Provide technical and operational guidance to ensure effective implementation.
• Build partnerships and networks with government, UN agencies, NGOs and donors.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity building.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in public health, nutrition, epidemiology or related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in public health programme planning, maternal and neonatal health, or health emergency preparedness.
• Fluency in French; knowledge of another UN language is a plus.
