Ebola Health Project Manager

About the role

Medair is seeking an experienced medical professional to lead its Ebola health response in Ituri province, DRC. The role focuses on supporting communities and health facilities with infection prevention, surveillance, case referral and integration of health activities alongside community engagement and psychosocial support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a comprehensive activity plan for the six‑month project in close collaboration with the Health Advisor and Health Project Manager.
• Oversee recruitment, appraisal, scheduling, discipline and well‑being of all health‑project staff.
• Ensure safety and security of Medair health assets and personnel on site.
• Coordinate with logistics to secure timely delivery of medical, PPE and WASH supplies for the Ebola Treatment Centre.
• Maintain quality of medical care according to WHO and national guidelines.
• Work with administration to ensure accurate financial accounting and cash‑flow management.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor, preferably specialized in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics or Infectious Diseases.
• Minimum three years of post‑qualification professional experience.
• Experience in project management or relief work with an NGO is an asset.
• Overseas experience in health sector, especially in Ebola or other viral haemorrhagic fever outbreaks, is strongly preferred.
• Fluency in French is an asset but not mandatory.
