Head of Finance (French Speaking)

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead the finance function in a dynamic, multicultural environment, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations while providing strategic financial support to the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Finance Department, allocating work and achieving departmental objectives.
• Contribute to annual operating and capital budgets and monitor performance against plans.
• Oversee revenue recognition, third‑party contractor payments, and month‑end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with International Accounting Standards (IAS) and internal policies.
• Drive creditor payment functions, cash management, and accurate financial reporting (Trial Balance, ageing reports).
• Support implementation, testing, training and continuous improvement of financial systems.
• Provide timely financial information for management decision‑making and strengthen internal controls.
• Identify training needs within the finance team and maintain relationships with stakeholders, authorities and suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ONEC RDC or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior finance leadership role within a medium to large organization.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation and compliance.
• Experience with technical accounting research and application of accounting standards.
• Excellent leadership, analytical and communication skills in English.
• High integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.

Required skills

• ERP systems – Oracle, SAP or similar.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS).
