Health Systems Officer

About the role

The Health Systems Officer will support the Health System Advisor in planning and delivering technical assistance for SRHR services across Kinshasa. This role focuses on facility upgrades, training, mentorship, data collection, and donor reporting to improve the quality and accessibility of contraceptive and comprehensive abortion care services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support for health system activities according to the workplan and budget.
• Plan and conduct facility assessments, upgrades, and SRHR trainings (youth‑friendly comprehensive abortion care, family planning, GBV care).
• Develop training programs, identify training needs, select trainers, and deliver trainings using adult‑learning methods.
• Monitor training data, maintain a database of trainers and participants, and improve training outcomes.
• Facilitate workshops, VCAT sessions, and mentorship programs for health providers.
• Perform orientations and baseline assessments for health facilities.
• Monitor subcontractors’ progress to ensure compliance with contracts and workplans.
• Build and maintain partnerships with provincial and district stakeholders and support advocacy efforts.
• Prepare activity budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.

Required profile

• Experience in health systems strengthening, particularly in SRHR service delivery.
• Proven ability to plan and execute trainings and mentorship activities.
• Strong background in facility assessments, data collection, and reporting.
• Experience working with government and partner organizations at provincial or district level.
• Ability to manage budgets and monitor subcontractor performance.
