Hmong Language Expert – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a native or near‑native Hmong speaker to help train next‑generation AI systems. In this remote contract position you will ensure that Hmong language data used by our models is accurate, culturally relevant, and of the highest linguistic quality.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, review, and edit content to and from Hmong with precise linguistic accuracy.
• Provide expert guidance on Hmong grammar, syntax, and usage for language‑related projects.
• Evaluate and improve AI‑generated Hmong outputs for clarity, context, and cultural relevance.
• Collaborate with AI development teams to refine machine‑learning models for Hmong language tasks.
• Contribute to the creation of language resources, glossaries, and style guides tailored to Hmong.
• Offer feedback on written and verbal communication to ensure consistency and quality.
• Support data annotation and linguistic analysis specific to Hmong language nuances.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Hmong, with excellent written and spoken command.
• Strong background in editing, proofreading, and translation between Hmong and English.
• Experience in linguistic analysis and applying language expertise in technical settings.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, remote environment.
• Passion for language preservation and technology‑driven language solutions.
