Investment Specialist (NPSA11) – Kinshasa

About the role

The Investment Specialist (NPSA11) will support UNCDF’s mission to mobilize capital for sustainable development in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Based in Kinshasa, the specialist will work on designing and implementing blended finance solutions that catalyze investments aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and financial advisory services to Member States and partners on investment projects.
• Design bespoke financial structuring solutions, including grants, loans and guarantees.
• Conduct financial derisking and investment readiness assessments for SDG‑aligned projects.
• Collaborate with private sector, UN agencies, development finance institutions and philanthropic partners to crowd‑in capital.
• Support the development of local financial systems and new markets to enhance capital flows.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in finance, economics, development studies or related field.
• Proven experience in investment analysis, blended finance or development finance.
• Strong understanding of SDG‑focused investment frameworks and the UN development agenda.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.

Required skills

• Financial modeling and analysis.
