About the role

We are seeking a native‑level Lingala‑English bilingual expert to join our remote team on a contract basis. The role focuses on transcribing and analyzing video content in Lingala, providing detailed linguistic data to support AI language model development.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe video content in Lingala with high accuracy.
• Mark timestamps and describe speakers' emotional tone and intent.
• Analyze grammar, tone, and structure in both Lingala and English.
• Define conceptual nuances of words and phrases, capturing cultural context.
• Perform complex language tasks to train and fine‑tune AI language models.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to ensure quality and project compliance.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Lingala and English.
• Exceptional attention to detail in linguistic analysis and transcription.
• Ability to identify and articulate emotional nuances in spoken language.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking applied to language tasks.
• Experience in transcription, translation, localization, or related linguistic roles.
• Self‑motivated and able to work effectively in a remote environment.
