Local Project Coordinator – Gender Outcomes in Jurisdictional REDD+ Program

About the role

The Local Project Coordinator will support the design and implementation of gender‑focused activities within Community Forest Concessions (CFCLs) in Équateur Province, DRC. The role bridges Terra Global’s international team, local implementation partners, and community stakeholders to ensure gender outcomes are measured and verified under the W+ Standard.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate field activities, ensuring timely implementation of gender‑focused tasks and adherence to budget.
• Lead participatory community consultations, gather feedback, and integrate inputs into Theory of Change documents and project plans.
• Support data collection for baseline gender outcomes and maintain accurate field records.
• Serve as the daily liaison between Terra Global and local partners, communicating risks, delays, and needs.
• Assist with fiscal management, procurement, and translation (French, local languages, English) for the project.
• Provide gender‑specific expertise to design and monitor empowerment outcomes consistent with the W+ Standard.

Required profile

• DRC national residing in Équateur Province with ability to travel to remote areas.
• Minimum 5 years experience in program management, monitoring, natural resource or REDD+ projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in gender or community development work in DRC or similar contexts.
• Fluency in Lingala, French and English.
