Logistics Associate – Temporary (6 months) – DRC

About the role

The Logistics Associate will support UNICEF’s Ebola emergency response in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Working with a high degree of operational independence, the incumbent will ensure the timely movement, storage and last‑mile delivery of critical programme supplies, including infection‑prevention commodities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage in‑country logistics operations, including transport coordination and customs clearance.
• Oversee warehousing, inventory control and distribution of emergency supplies.
• Support emergency preparedness activities and maintain stock readiness.
• Coordinate with partners, report on logistics performance and contribute to improved delivery mechanisms.
• Supervise lower‑level staff as required.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary education (minimum).
• Relevant professional or university courses related to logistics or supply chain management.
• Ability to work autonomously in a complex, security‑sensitive environment.
