About the role

The incumbent will lead M-Pesa strategy for the Kinshasa region, overseeing sales and distribution teams to achieve growth, brand visibility, and service quality. This role combines customer acquisition, partner management, and operational oversight to meet regional KPIs.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive new customer acquisition and expand agent outlets across the region.
  • Build and maintain a strong distribution network, including trade partners and sales teams.
  • Design demarcated trade routes and allocate channels to serve each route efficiently.
  • Ensure M-Pesa brand visibility through POS placement, promotions, and audits.
  • Manage team productivity, set performance targets, and monitor KPI delivery.
  • Plan and execute mystery shopping, brand audits, and agent audits.
  • Maintain cash float standards and resolve agent or customer issues within SLA.
  • Control daily liquidity, oversee promotions, and report regularly to senior management.
  • Collaborate with external partners, banks, and internal departments to ensure seamless operations.

Required profile

  • Minimum 3 years of proven commercial or sales experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, economics, or a related field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English (Level 4) and French (fluent).
  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle complex situations.
