Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager - Ebola response, DRC

About the role

The Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager will lead MEL activities for Mercy Corps’ Ebola response in Bunia, Ituri Province, Democratic Republic of Congo. This full‑time position supports the Integrated Ebola Response Driven by Communities (IERDC) consortium and aims to ensure data‑driven decision‑making across the response. Mercy Corps has been operating in the DRC since 2007 with a workforce of about 300 staff, delivering integrated programmes in WASH, livelihoods, and governance. The MEL Manager will collaborate with local and international partners to collect, analyse and report data that informs programme adjustments and demonstrates impact.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monitoring, evaluation and learning processes for the Ebola response.
• Support Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) and community surveillance activities.
• Assist with Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) monitoring.
• Contribute to continuity of services and livelihoods initiatives, including cash assistance tracking.
• Ensure safeguarding, protection, conflict‑sensitivity and gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) considerations are integrated into MEL activities.
