Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to join its Kinshasa mission. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Program Support Coordinator, the officer will support the design, implementation and reporting of M&E activities for projects, programmes and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the overall M&E framework in coordination with programme heads, operations and the Information Management unit.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reviews, impact assessments, mid‑term and final evaluations, and facilitate lessons‑learned workshops.
• Supervise M&E support activities carried out by other staff to ensure comprehensive coverage throughout project cycles.
• Collaborate with IOM units, implementing partners and UN Country Team on quantitative and qualitative monitoring to meet donor and UN reporting requirements.
• Draft regular monitoring reports for donors and UN agencies and coordinate with the Public Information Officer to incorporate findings into public communications.
• Ensure evaluation reports are shared with stakeholders and published according to IOM Evaluation Policy.

Required profile

• Experience in monitoring and evaluation of development or migration‑related projects.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate multi‑stakeholder teams.
• Strong analytical skills for data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with donor, UN and headquarters reporting standards.
