Network and Systems Engineer

About the role

A highly skilled Network and Systems Engineer is sought to lead the administration, security and optimisation of the IT infrastructure. The role suits a hands-on expert who has managed complex, multi-site environments, ensuring the reliability of server and network architecture while supporting a large user base and driving digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Administer physical and virtual Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019), Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS
• Manage enterprise networks (TCP/IP, routing and switching, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, specifically Mikrotik) and oversee structured cabling (fiber, Cat5/6) and hardware installation
• Manage Microsoft 365 and Azure AD, including Exchange Server and user permissions
• Oversee backup and recovery, off-site archiving, log monitoring and data protection policies
• Support 100+ users across local and international sites, with secure remote access
• Coordinate with vendors, take part in IT modernisation projects and prepare technical documentation and reports
• Maintain IP telephony/PBX, CCTV and access control systems

Required profile

• Master's degree in Computer Communication Engineering or Bachelor's in Computer Networks and Telecommunications
• Minimum 8-9 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, system administration and network support
• Certification such as Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900); cyber security certifications are a plus
• Proficiency in Arabic and English (French is an asset)
• Preferred: experience in aviation, engineering or retail multi-branch operations, independent "cabling to cloud" troubleshooting, and digital transformation projects
