Project Director – Faith and Community Initiative (FCI)

About the role

The Project Director will lead the Faith and Community Initiative (FCI) for World Vision in the Democratic Republic of Congo, guiding efforts to improve health outcomes and community resilience for vulnerable children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the FCI program across multiple provinces, ensuring alignment with World Vision’s mission and values.
• Coordinate with faith‑based and community‑based organizations to expand access to quality health services in hard‑to‑reach areas.
• Strengthen partnerships with national and provincial health authorities, NGOs, and development partners.
• Oversee program planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation to achieve health, nutrition, and child protection goals.
• Ensure compliance with national regulations, financial integrity, and World Vision’s governance standards.
• Manage program budgets, reporting, and resource mobilization for sustainable impact.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in humanitarian or development project management.
• Deep understanding of faith‑based community engagement and health sector interventions.
• Experience working in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments, preferably in the DRC or similar contexts.
• Strong leadership, communication, and partnership‑building abilities.
