Project Manager – DRC

About the role

The Belgian Red Cross‑Flanders is looking for a Project Manager to lead humanitarian projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo. You will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring initiatives that improve first aid services, blood donor recruitment, disaster preparedness and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee project work plans, budgets and timelines in collaboration with the local Red Cross Society.
• Coordinate activities with volunteers, partners and government agencies to ensure effective delivery of services.
• Monitor project progress, collect data and produce regular reports for donors and senior management.
• Ensure all activities comply with the Red Cross Fundamental Principles and organizational standards.
• Facilitate capacity‑building workshops for volunteers and local staff.

Required profile

• University degree in humanitarian studies, public health, development management or a related field.
• Proven experience managing projects in humanitarian or disaster‑risk contexts.
• Strong understanding of Red Cross principles and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
